Now, we all know that Microsoft is working on some sneaky projects behind closed doors in Redmond, even though few people actually know what is going on there.

  • Microsoft is taking its competition with Google to a whole new level this year.There are big plans to add the ChatGPT tool to the popular Bing search engine.No exact release date or other official information on this subject has been given.

However, as with every big company or event, information leaks present these projects to the rest of the world, even with harsh security measures in place.

Allegedly, the tech giant is in the works to unveil a version of its search engine Bing that is powered by OpenAI’s artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT.

Remember that, recently, Microsoft also added an annotation feature that shows price history & coupons to the Bing search engine.

Is Microsoft adding ChatGPT software to Bing?

According to sources knowledgeable about the matter, this implementation is already in the works, and Microsoft plans to unveil it sometime later this year.

In case you were unaware, ChatGPT is a natural language processing tool driven by AI that enables you to have human-like conversations with a chatbot.

Furthermore, the tool can answer questions and assist with certain tasks like writing code and generating long-form content.

There are those of you who know that it was actually made available for public testing back on November 30, 2022.

Microsoft could launch the new feature before the end of March, but there is no tangible information to confirm this rumor.

Just know that, with this move, the Redmond company hopes to challenge Google’s dominance in the search engine market.

Speaking of this, according to Statcounter, Google has a 92.21% share of the market as of December 2022, while Bing only has about 3.42%.

Microsoft made huge investments in OpenAI to support the latter in building artificial general intelligence.

The two companies then formed a multi-year partnership to build new Azure AI supercomputing technologies.

Also, in 2022, Microsoft brought OpenAI’s image generation software DALL∙E 2 to Azure OpenAI, enabling users to generate images through text or image input.
