Microsoft Store Lets You Install Windows 10 Apps Remotely

A brand-new remote installation feature is available in the Microsoft Store. Users will be able to install apps on devices that are running Windows 10 even if they’re not actively using them. Here’s how the new features will work.

The new option seems pretty similar to the one flaunted by Google Play which allows users of Android devices to push apps to any of the devices that they have previously associated their Google account with. Microsoft’s new feature offers a similar functionality with its Windows 10 apps.

The option was noticed a bit earlier, and it seems that latest reports claim that this brand new option was activated on June 6.

It also looks like the ability to install apps remotely hasn’t been rolled out to all users just yet. In other words, when you might try to see how this option works, it may not be yet available for use.

On the other hand, for users who already have this activated, this will definitely offer a great way to install applications without having to be right there in front of your computer.

When you open the store page for an app on the Microsoft Store and have previously used your account to install this app, you will be shown a button labeled Install on my devices. If you click on the Install on my devices button, you will be shown a list of devices that use your account. You can then select the devices you wish to install the app and press the Install Now button to deliver them.
