At today’s BUILD 2016 conference, Microsoft announced that it would start shipping its HoloLens developer kits immediately. Microsoft made the device available for pre-orders in January for the asking price of $3000 per kit. However, only qualified developers from the US and Canada will be able to get HoloLens development kits.

Microsoft also showed how HoloLens will work by presenting a hands-on demo. The company also reveled a couple of partners, including NASA, that will help in the future development of HoloLens for even more possibilities.
