Ever had a beautiful dog grab your attention while strolling through the park? You probably immediately asked what breed it was. Microsoft is making answering it very easy. Its Fetch! app recognizes dogs and classifies them by their breed, doing this using AI technology. It even gets better over time, as the more it’s used, the better it becomes.

Fetch! has knowledge of over 100 popular pure breeds, but still has a lot to learn when it comes to recognizing mixed breeds. Should the app be unable to recognize the breed, you can send your feedback to Microsoft right in the app. Doing so will improve the experience of the next user who has the same question about the same mixed breed.

Fetch! also contains an extensive database about dog breeds with information such as disposition, size, coat, and what types of families are best suited for each.

You can also have a lot of fun using the app’s Fun Mode that lets you find out what dog breeds you are. Make fun of your friends when you go out by comparing which breeds you look like, and then post the tagged photos on social media apps. You can test out the app here.

If you like photo recognition apps, you can also try out Microsoft’s CaptionBot that describes pictures so you don’t have to.
