Microsoft has announced that Docs, their documentation platform, is getting a series of improvements.
Docs now has a code samples browser
The most important one is the addition of a new section that will host all the code samples in one place. The company aims to offer the most relevant and up-to-date code samples that will help you with your workflow.
Furthermore, there is also a direct link for each sample to its location in a GitHub repository, so you can contribute to the sample or report a bug. The main goal is to make things easier for users, as Microsoft officials state in their blog:
New Docs improvements aimed at helping developers
Other neat features include: easy deployment to Azure in just one click, the Download ZIP feature that allows you to download the latest version of the sample from GitHub, and Browse code option to get directly to the sample within the repository.
With this release, we aim to make it easier for you to discover relevant code examples to get started, no matter what Microsoft product or service you’re using.
Also, you’ll be happy to know that from now on, you’ll be able to use keyword search and in-page filters to find the sample you’re looking for faster and with more ease.
Microsoft will continue to improve and add more samples to the Docs index, working closely with developers, so you may expect new features that will develop on-the-go.
