It seems that the next big Windows 10 update will bring two brand new features: Timeline and Pick Up Where You Left Off, both of which will facilitate the syncing of user work between Windows 10 devices.
In addition, Microsoft is also currently developing clipboard syncing features for Windows 10 that will allow you sync text, photos, links and so on between their computers and Android phones.
The latest version of Android launcher
Redmond recently started testing a brand new version of a custom Android launcher which allows you to sync files between your Android phone and your computer. Titled Arrow Hub, it’s powered by OneDrive and can be used as a widget on Arrow launcher to view your latest images, files and much more on your home screen straight from the widget. You will also be able to upload items from the widget.
No Windows 10 integration
Microsoft was not able to integrate Arrow Hub into Windows 10 and for this reason, the company built a web app for Arrow Hub which can be used to sync files between your computer and phone. It doesn’t matter if you use a Mac, a Chromebook or a Linux PC because the web app is compatible with any device that can be connected to the internet.
How Arrow Hub works
Arrow Hub is a great feature despite the fact that it’s quite simple. It creates a folder on your OneDrive account and uploads files to that particular folder so that you’ll be able to retrieve and display them on the launcher and web app. Arrow Hub is currently in the testing process and Microsoft wants to roll it to more users in the future.
