Microsoft Released Update 1 Rtm For Visual Studio 2015

A few days before the release of Windows 10, Microsoft released a new version of its Visual Studio, Visual Studio 2015. And now, a little more than four months since the release, the company announced the first update for its software development application.

The Update 1 for Visual Studio 2015, as it’s labeled by Microsoft, is a pretty big update, as it delivers a handful of new features and improvements. Since it’s the first major update for Visual Studio 2015 since its release back in July, we can consider this update a ‘Threshold 2 for Visual Studio 2015.’

Here’s the list of all major changes delivered by Visual Studio 2015 Update 1:

Redesigned taskbar icon – Led by the feedback from Visual Studio UserVoice, Microsoft redesigned the look of Visual Studio 2015 icon, to fit better with the taskbar, and for users to differentiate it from previous versions of Visual Studio.
.NET Framework 4.6.1. Visual Studio 2015 Update 1 – Along with Visual Studio 2015, Microsoft also released .NET Framework 4.6, and now the first update for this feature, is also ready.
Editor support for new programming languages – Visual Studio editor now provides built-in syntax highlighting and basic IntelliSense support for Go, Java, Perl, R, Ruby, and Swift.
Tools for Universal Windows Apps v1.2 – Visual Studio 2015 now allows you to build and submit apps to the Windows Store. It targets Windows 10 SDK Version 1511, and includes several developer improvements to .NET Native, the XAML designer, the manifest designer, Windows Store packaging, and the debugger.
NuGet 3.3 and NuGet Package Manager – a free open source package manager, NuGet 3.3 is now included in Visual Studio 2015, and it brings some interface and productivity changes.
Visual Studio license improvements – The new update ensures that IDE with your subscriptions stays locked during your work, so it won’t interrupt your workflow.
