If you work in the army or have taken part in a war and you’re now looking to buy some products from Microsoft, software or hardware, we’ve got some good news for you. Read more on this below.

Microsoft has now started offering a special military discount to all active duty, reserve military personnel and veterans, ranging from an instant 5% savings on PC’s and Surface devices and 10% on software and accessories which include Office, headphones, keyboards and mice. Of course, this isn’t a huge discount but hey, it’s still better than nothing, right? You just need to access the Microsoft Store Military section and validate that you are eligible for the military discount.

Microsoft introduces Military Offer section on the Windows Store

However, the offer is valid until 01 January 2015, but there are all the chances for this to become permanent, since there are so many companies that have this. This is also available in the physical Microsoft Stores, not only online and you need to show a military ID to receive the discount.

So, are you going to buy something nice from the Microsoft Store?

Valid until 1/1/2015, or while supplies last. Military discount not combinable with other promotional pricing. Available in Microsoft online store in the US (including Puerto Rico). Only available for active, former or retired military personnel. Institutions are not eligible for this offer. Shipping to US only, no shipping to APO/FPO addresses. Offer only valid on select products. Limited quantities may be available. Not valid on prior orders or purchases; cannot be transferred or otherwise redeemed for cash or coupon code. Not combinable with other offers. Taxes may apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. False representations of eligibility voids this offer, and Microsoft reserves the right to collect the full price of product(s) ordered. Limit of 3 items per order.
