Usage of the Microsoft Windows Store has been growing at a faster rate than anticipated. Recently at the Build 2016 conference, the software giant announced that the store has been visited over 5 billion times and counting.
Having 5 billion visits to the store since Windows 10 was released eight months ago from 270 million active users — all of whom have spent 75 billion hours using the operating system — is not surprising. Clearly, the software giant is doing something right her and we expect this number to more than double by 2017.
In other Build news, Microsoft wants to put the stylus “front and center” when it comes to Windows 10. To make this happen, Microsoft introduced something known as Ink Workspace, which is basically a hub within Windows 10 for users to launch apps designed for sketching or whatever that requires a pen. Microsoft believes it can appeal to people who still use pen and paper on a daily basis despite styluses being more associated to designers and music composers.
