Microsoft started rolling the Creators Update out to the general public on April 11th. Early adopters quickly reported various Bluetooth issues, but Microsoft has yet to fix these problems.

The good news is that the Redmond giant officially acknowledged that the Creators Update breaks Bluetooth. The company should roll out a hotfix as soon as possible.

For various Bluetooth issues, Microsoft recommends running the new Bluetooth Troubleshooter, a new troubleshooting tool you can find on the Settings page. Go to Settings > Update & security >Find and fix other problems > Troubleshoot.

We are aware that some users with Broadcom radios may experience Bluetooth LE device connection issues (while Settings is open) after upgrading to Windows 10 Creators Update. We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

After running the Bluetooth Troubleshooter, close the Settings page and give your device some time to reconnect. Bear in mind that this may take longer than usual.

If you’re still experiencing Bluetooth issues, install the latest driver updates for your Bluetooth devices. Then disconnect them, plug them back in, and check if the issue still persists.

Now, it these steps didn’t help, you can share your feedback in the Feedback Hub. There are plenty of Bluetooth bug submissions and you can either add your vote to a known issue experienced by others or submit your own so that others can add their vote to yours.

Don’t forget to provide Microsoft with additional details about your issue in order to help Windows engineers figure out what’s causing it.

As a quick reminder, the most common Bluetooth issues on Windows 10 Creators Update are the following:

  • Bluetooth mouse stops working after an idle period
  • Bluetooth LE devices are unresponsive
  • No sound on Bluetooth headphones.
