Lumia 750 What Kind Of Specifications Had The Canceled Device

It’s been over a year since Microsoft decided to hack and slash the Lumia series from the smartphone roster, meaning that some devices that were still in production might have received the axe as collateral damage. There were discussions of a Lumia 750 device back then, but nothing came of that rumor. Now, however, a patent leaked featuring the Lumia 750 handset as it was intended but never finalized. It looks like the device was intended as a mid-range phone. Let’s take a look and see what kind of specifications the canceled device had.

The Lumia 750 would have sported a 5 inch display with HD capabilities that would have been nice for viewing pictures taken with the 8 MP camera which would have also been featured on the handset. The lens apparently had the Zeiss mark on it. Other camera functions included autofocus, an LED flash function and 1080 recording at 30 fps. The maximum resolution for the lens was 3264 x 2448.

Taking a look inside the device, we see a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processing unit, which was a quad core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. There were supposedly Cortex A53 cores featured in it. The graphics were handled by the Adreno 306 GPU, which complemented the processing unit’s power.

In terms of memory, the phone sported 8 GB of storage capacity, which could be extended using a microSD card. The RAM capacity was 1 GB, which wasn’t the greatest, even back then. The battery used for the device was a 2650 mAH unit.

The phone also had the standard capabilities such as GPS, LED, Wifi support and your regular smartphone sensors.

By the look of these specs, it seems that Microsoft decided to trash a pretty decent device. There’s no knowledge on the price that the device would have, but depending on how expensive it would have gotten, the specs would have been more or less worth it.
