Comfortable Fit

The Logitech Pro X Gaming Headset is a very comfortable set of headphones. Whether you are working an entire 8-hour shift while listening to classical music or just jamming and gaming with your friends all day, this headset is best for both worlds.

The headset comes with two different combinations of ear pads for all-day comfort. You have a choice of memory foam pad styles: leatherette or microfiber. The leatherette pads help to create a better seal with your head if minimizing sound leakage is more important to you. The ear pads are big and deep, which should fit most ear shapes and sizes.

The headband part of the headset is wide and padded which is great for distributing the weight evenly for optimal comfort. There are various headband adjustments that are available in order to gain a snug, but still comfortable fit. 

The detachable condenser mic is great for those who usually stream, attend virtual meetings, or play multiplayer games. If you are wanting to game solo and jam to some music, you can easily remove the microphone from the left ear cuff. 

Battery Life

The Logitech website states the battery life of this particular headset to be 21 hours on a single charge. After doing some testing, at a consistent output of ~75dB, the Logitech G Pro X Wireless lasted 21 hours and 33 minutes. 

The headset charges using a USB-C cable, so while it doesn’t support any kind of fast charging, a full recharge should only be a couple of hours.

Since most people do not game or work for 21 hours a day, these headphones get a good 3-5 days of usage out of them before needing to be charged.

Great Audio Capabilities

The Logitech G Pro Gaming Headset is a great set of headphones for gaming, music, and chat. There are also volume settings for adjusting different sound sources.

We used the surround sound function while playing various game titles on PC. We didn’t have to adjust the volumes of different sound sources since it sounded lifelike and detailed enough to enhance the playing experience.

They have a well-balanced yet punchy sound characterization and a Blue Voice microphone that delivers great recording quality, all while doing a fantastic job of isolating speech from background noise.

Overall, the sound is crisp and clean with the right mixes of highs, mids, and lows to balance out the ultimate gaming and working experience when it comes to audio capabilities

What Could Be Better 

Of course, with all of the pros that the Logitech G Pro X headset comes with, there are a few ways that they miss the mark compared to other competitors. 

Overwhelming Software Interface 

The provided Logitech G Hub software is extremely full-featured. With numerous customizable options to adjust the microphone, it can be very overwhelming for new users.

The software involved in getting the audio and microphone capabilities running, while impressive, will definitely intimidate and frighten away some newcomers. If you don’t already know about microphones and audio, there’s some time-consuming experimenting to do.

There seem to be almost too many choices of filters and presets to sift through to find a simple one that works for your particular application.  

Only Works Through USB Transmitter

The Logitech G Pro X Wireless doesn’t support Bluetooth and instead uses a large USB transmitter to connect the headset to your PC. This means there is a lack of portability that other competitors have. There is no walking in a park or using these headphones at the gym since the USB transmitter is the only way to connect this headset.

The range of the audio tends to suffer depending on the building materials between the USB transmitter dongle and wherever you are roaming in your home.
