Latest Chromium Edge Allows You To Share Webpages With Ease

Microsoft’s Chromium-based browser got a lot of improvements lately.

Although the new Edge has more functionalities and improved features, the Redmond giant promised that it would keep the familiar look of the classic Edge.

As a follow-up to that promise, Microsoft added a heavily requested feature to Chromium Edge: the Share option.

The “Share this page” feature is now enabled in Canary and Dev builds of Edge, and it is part of the Controlled Feature Rollout (CFR), which means that not all Canary users will get it.

In classic Edge there is a share button next to the address bar, but in the Chromium Edge the feature is available in Settings. You will find it there as an option.

As for the functionality of the feature, it allows you to share webpages to OneNote, with your contacts, to Cortana, directly to social media, or even to your Android phone through Your Phone app.

Keep in mind that because the Share feature is gradually rolling out and doesn’t come as a new build, checking for updates won’t have any effect.

Also, if you have the Canary build but you don’t see the share implementation in your browser, just wait a few more days until it gets released to more users.

Microsoft is slowly finishing the work on their Chromium Edge that will eventually replace the current version as Windows 10’s default browser.
