Kenyans living in countries such as US, Canada, UK, Australia can now send money to bank account holders back home. This comes with a new partnership between international money remittance provider, Worldremit and KCB Bank Kenya.

The new partnership will allow Kenyans living abroad to directly send money to KCB bank account holders who can then collect the money at any KCB branche nationwide.  Announced at an investment event for Kenyan and African diaspora at the Royal Overseas League in London, Annastacia Kimtai, KCB Retail Director, said “This partnership will bridge a gap in money remittances from the diaspora and therefore enhance the experience of our customers in East Africa and abroad.”.

Worldremit has set itself as the world’s top money remittance service provider.  The company says they send more than 50,000 transfers to Kenya every month, with over 90% going to Mobile Money accounts such as M-Pesa.
