KB4493464 seems to be a stable update, as users reported very few bugs so far. Furthermore, Microsoft also acknowledged two bugs in this update.

Today, we are going to list some of the issues that you might experience after installing KB4493464. Let’s have a quick look at these bugs.
KB4493464 reported issues
1. Wi-Fi doesn’t have a valid IP configuration
One of the users reported that his PC is having problems while connecting to Wi-Fi. The bug started appearing after the installation of Windows updates KB4493464 and KB4493478 (Windows 10 Version 1803).
You can try one of the following workarounds to resolve the issue.

Alternatively, if the problem is not resolved, you can uninstall and block the problematic updates.
Click Start, and type “cmd”. – Right-click Command Prompt and run it as administrator. – Copy and paste the below one line at a time, pressing enter each time: netsh winsock reset – and press Enter. netsh int ip reset – and press Enter. ipconfig /release – and press Enter. ipconfig /renew – and press Enter. ipconfig /flushdns – and press Enter. You could also try resetting your DNS service.
2. Application startup bugs
Microsoft acknowledged another bug that affects Internet Explorer. Microsoft states that some corresponding applications for Internet Explorer’s trusted and local sites may not be started by Custom URI Schemes for Application Protocol handlers.
Microsoft is working to resolve the issue but Microsoft has suggested a temporary fix to the problem.
Enable Protected Mode in Internet Explorer for local intranet and trusted sites.
Go toTools»Internet options »Security.
WithinSelect a zone to view or change security settings, selectLocal intranetand then selectEnable Protected Mode.
SelectTrusted sitesand then selectEnable Protected Mode.
Select OK.
Keep in mind that a system reboot is required so that the changes can be applied.
As you can see, KB4493464 is a pretty stable update and technical issues are a rare thing.
