Microsoft rolled out KB4135051 a few days ago to get Windows 10 computers ready for the April Update. The exact changes, improvements and possible bug fixes remain shrouded in mystery even to this day. The Redmond giant has yet to reveal what exactly is included in this update but most users agree this release is all about upgrade optimization tweaks.
Users also noticed that KB4135051 is affected by a few issues of its own. Many reported that this patch completely deleted their update history.
So, it seems that this small bug is prevalent for users running Windows 10’s built-in antivirus software. Moreover, users reported that after several restarts, the update history magically appeared. However, the miracle didn’t last too long, as the update history disappeared again when users booted up their computers.
I installed it on two PCs. It wiped out the Update History on one and not the other. The only real difference in the Settings on the PCs was that the one with the problem had Windows Defender and the one without a problem had Bitdefender.

After installing this update yesterday and after many restarts (no shutdowns, I have fast start disabled), the update history remained. However, this morning after being shutdown over night, the update history was gone.
