Microsoft officially confirmed the release date of the long-awaited Windows 10 April Update. The company will start to gradually roll out the new OS version on April, 30, just as we predicted in a previous post. Of course, Insiders can already test the April Update, so if you’re too eager to install the Spring Creators Update (as it’s known by its former unofficial name) and you can’t wait until Monday, you can simply enroll in the Insiders Program.
Microsoft is now adding the finishing touches to the whole OS and just pushed update KB4135051 to all Fast, Slow, and Release Preview ring Insiders. However, the company has yet to confirm what changes and improvements this update brings. It’s still unclear whether KB4135051 is a genuine patch or just a test update.
KB4135051 issues
Most Insiders confirmed that the whole download and install process completed very quickly and without any issues. Unfortunately, in rare cases, KB4135051 may fail to install with error 0x80070032.
It seems that occasional system freezes may occur — but this problem affects very few Insiders. Hopefully, Microsoft will fix this bug by the time the Windows 10 April 2018 Update hits the general public.
Install on Toshiba laptop went well. Install on HP Desktop reports error code of 0x80070032 and unable to restart. Hard reboot completed with same error message.
Apart from these two rare bugs, KB4135051 should not give any additional headaches. If you’re an Insider and you already installed KB4135051 on your Windows 10 machine, let us know how it all went in the comments below.
Update was ok, system still freezing from time to time when closing UWP apps… it’s been a month and still no fix!
