Microsoft rolled out a new Windows 10 update aimed at fixing Windows Store issues. As the tech giant explains on the support page, Windows 10 KB4058043 makes reliability improvements to Microsoft Store fixing an issue that could cause app update failures and unnecessary network requests.

This update is available only via Windows Update. If you enable automatic updates, you can download and install it automatically.
If you disabled automatic updates on your computer, you can also install it manually. Go to Settings > Update & Security > click on the ‘Check for updates’ button.

Unfortunately, quite a few Window 10 users are still struggling to install the update. According to user reports, the download process sometimes freezes after about one minute or suddenly stalls at 99%, as this user confirms on Microsoft’s forum:
Apparently, this install issue could be a general bug affecting this update. The OP already contacted Microsoft Support engineers and they confirmed that was a problem specific to the update.

I have ran the troubleshooting tool and no success in getting the update to install. When I look at the progress on installation is stalls at 99%. Thus when I reboot my PC it gets hung up on the restart.

I contacted Microsoft Support and they said this is a problem update. […] At this time, I have disabled all update services to keep anything from installing as this update cause the PC to stay in a getting windows ready mode.
