However, this social network-like system isn’t (or it wasn’t) fully functional, as the players noticed that some of their XboxOne buddies are offline even though they are full-throttle gaming.
Furthermore, the complete absence of their last online activity was another formidable downside to this. Luckily, it seems that it’s finally sorted out. Or, at least, partially sorted out.
One user which noticed changes that are, seemingly, fixing the aforementioned issue. Here’s what he stated in the dedicated XboxOne subreddit:
On the other hand, some other users are still finding the ”Appear Offline” system lackluster and most of them expect improvements with the further updates. Here are some of the comments that highlight the user experience from the same subreddit thread:
”Noticed that a buddy hadn’t been online in four days, so I text him about it and apparently he has been in offline mode. But my friends list showed him “Last online 4 days ago”. Glad to hear that they finally fixed this from just saying “Offline”. I know a few people on this sub have mentioned this, so I thought I would point it out. Your offline us safe now!”

”I’m not sure it’s ENTIRELY fixed.. i still have a handful of people on my friends list that have the “offline” status.”

”I kinda dislike this change but I understand why. At the same time my one friend always appears offline to avoid getting inites from his Smite group so I usually send him an invite or he’ll send me one when in offline mode. But if I see it now as “last online 3 days ago” i won’t send him an invite thinking its true. lol”
