Insiders Complain Windows 10 Build 14383 Prevents Them From Connecting To The Internet

Shortly after Windows 10 build 14383 was launched, Insiders reported that the latest Windows 10 build prevents them from connecting to the internet. No particular error message is displayed, though: the webpages Insiders try to access simply inform them they are not connected.

The issue was reported by Insiders using Surface Pro 4 devices as well as by desktop computer users, therefore the issue is not limited to a particular device.

This is the first time I have experienced this issue. It says that I’m connected to the internet but when I use my browser to go to a web page, it says I’m not connected. I have this build installed on my Surface Pro 4.

Again, just like for previous issues reported on build 14383, Microsoft’s Support Team hasn’t posted any comments on the thread.

I have the same problem and identical error messages with a Dell T7400 using a Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller….

Appears to be driver related, with the newest drivers available being the worst performers…

Insiders confirmed they tried various workarounds — running a Network Settings check, checking drivers, running the troubleshooter — all to no avail.

However, the Insiders who reported this issue haven’t mentioned if they disabled the Windows Firefall, so we still don’t know if this workaround helps. In case you encounter the same internet access issue, you could try disabling the Windows Firefall and see if this solution solves your problem.
