iDroid USA is the latest device manufacturer to enter the Ugandan market. Offering devices like smartphones and tablets, the American based company or startup as we like to call them is launching their brand and products in the USA, Canada, Europe and Africa.  In Africa, iDroid launched in South Africa, and Nigeria with Uganda being the latest country in which they are launching. According to their blog, they intend to capture the African market further launching in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Somalia.

iDroid will be competing against brands like  Tecno, iTel , Infinix, Xtel and Injoo that have already gained ground and market share. Their flagship device the iDroid Royal V7 features a 5.5′ IPS QHD display, a 1.3Ghz quad-core processor,  1GB RAM -8GB ROM, a 13MP back camera, Dual SIM, 4G speeds and a 20150 mAH battery all wrapped up in a 145g – 7.9mm design. They have other phones like the iDroid Tango and tablets like the iDroid Play and iDroid Mini. These devices are already available in Kampala with the Royal V7 going for a price of Ugx 949,000
