Can I use a free VPN to watch US Netflix in Sweden?

No. Although there are some free VPNs on the market they do not have US servers that work with Netflix. Providing servers that work with Netflix is tricky because the streaming giant works hard to block VPNs. As a result, there are few premium VPNs that still manage to provide access for their users.

Free VPNs do not have the time or resources to keep providing servers that work with Netflix. Their servers are also too slow to permit HD streaming, which means that even if you try to watch a video online it will constantly buffer.

To avoid congested servers (caused by a large number of free users) free VPNs also impose download limits and bandwidth restrictions. This makes free VPNs even slower and means that you can’t use them for streaming, torrenting, gaming, and other data-intensive tasks.

In addition to these severe performance issues, free VPNs are also a bad idea for privacy reasons. Free VPNs collect user data for profiling purposes.
